PA DHS operates a women, infants and children (WIC) program that helps women who are pregnant, breastfeeding with a baby less than 1 year old, not breastfeeding with a baby under 6 months, and infants and children under 5 who have medical or nutritional risk.
Adults who are 60 years of age or older and residents of Allegheny County must first call the Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging Senior Line at 412-350-5460. A care manager will talk with you about your specific needs to help determine whether or not you may be eligible for services. If you are eligible (primarily financially), you can get five nutritious balanced meals delivered to your home each week for a fee.
